ED FRIES
BOARD DIRECTOR
Ed created his first video games for the Atari 800 in the early 1980s. He joined Microsoft in 1986, and spent the next ten years as one of the founding developers of both Excel and Word. He left the Office team to pursue his passion for interactive entertainment and created Microsoft Game Studios. Over the next eight years he grew the team from 50 people to over 1200, published more than 100 games including more than a dozen million+ sellers, co-founded the Xbox project, and made Microsoft one of the leaders in the interactive entertainment business. In 2004, Ed retired from his Microsoft Vice President job to continue his work in the video game business as board member, advisor and consultant to a broad range of publishers, independent game developers, and media companies. In 2007 Ed launched his own startup, FigurePrints, an innovative company that uses 3D color printing technology to bring video game characters to life.
MARK DiSALLE
BOARD DIRECTOR
Mark DiSalle is a seasoned entrepreneur who has many years of successful transactional and business leadership experience with privately-held companies in many diverse industries, from the motion picture industry to computer technology. Starting as a public accountant in New York, Mark then became a producer and director of major motion pictures earning over $330 million in revenue on budgets totaling $25 million. His films “Bloodsport” and “Perfect Weapon” launched the careers of both Jean-Claude Van Damme and Jeff Speakman. For the past ten years, Mark has been involved with over a dozen start-up companies. He has successfully turned around bankrupt companies; managed start-up technology companies as a hands-on CEO, chairman or director, where he has helped guide these companies through growth and successful liquidity events.

Steve is co-founder and venture partner at Polaris Venture Partners (founded 1996) which manages over $3.3 billion dollars. Steve has focused on investments in digital media, entertainment, and information technology. Prior to Polaris, Steve served as Vice President of Broadband Media Applications at Microsoft Corporation, President and CEO of Continuum Productions (now Corbis), Vice President and General Manager of LucasArts Games and Learning divisions and as Vice President of the New Media Group at Lucasfilm Ltd. He is co-founder and Vice Chairman of the board of directors of the George Lucas Educational Foundation (GLEF). He serves as a member of or an advisor to the Boards of Impinj and Noetix. Steve also serves on a number of non-profit boards including Educurious Partners (a Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation grantee) and CASEL (The Collaborative for Academic, Social and Emotional Learning).

Cassandra is co-founder and CEO of Entertainment Clearances, Inc., one of Hollywood’s leading independent clearance companies, providing intellectual property services to the industry. Prior to establishing EC, Cassandra was VP of Legal Affairs Administration at Sony Pictures Studios for over a decade.
